A new spaghetti production unit of JSC "Dobeles dzirnavnieks", in which the company has invested 3.41 million lats and which started to work in a test mode this September, has received a large-volume order and already during the next six months will be able to ensure the factory`s capacity in the amount of 50%.
The chairman of the board of the company K. Amsils informs that the deliveries are being made both to retail chains in Latvia, as well as several orders from the clients at export markets have been received also including from the so-called third countries, where the company has and export forerun and it is expected a great export potential. The new production unit produces soft wheat spaghetti under the brands "Presto'' and "Primo'', as well as a durum wheat spaghetti brand "Dobele''.
The spaghetti production unit of JSC "Dobeles dzirnavnieks'' was developed in the result of the project "Implementation of a new product – spaghetti into production” in collaboration with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and with co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERAF).
JSC "Dobeles dzirnavnieks" was established in 1994. Since 2008 the company’s owner is an Estonian flour processing company "Tartu Mill".
